Apple overhauling iPhone notification system?
To cap off a week chock-full of Apple-related rumors, we now have this: is Apple about to acquire a company in the process of giving its iOS notifications system a major makeover?
Apple blog Cult of Mac says it's hearing exactly that from a source, who is not named. The company Apple is allegedly buying isn't confirmed in the report, but is said to be "small" and currently has an application available for sale in the iOS App Store.

New Apple iPhone ad brings AT&T and Verizon together
Love, peace, and harmony. That's what Apple seems to be pushing in the latest iPhone advertisement to hit the airwaves.
The ad, titled "Two is Better than One," shows a pair iPhones performing side-by-side synchronized app usage. The action is backed by that beautiful piece of waltz music used to good effect by ice skaters and Stanley Kubrick, Johann Strauss's "On the Beautiful Blue Danube."

How To Turn Your iPhone and iPad Into AirPlay Speakers
One of the biggest limitations of the current version of AirPlay shipping with iOS 4.2.1 (well, video streaming to Apple TV aside) is the fact that you can’t use an iOS device as an AirPlay speaker. In fact, a speaker can be an Apple TV, an audio system connected to an AirPort Express station or an AirPlay-enabled audio system. But, you can’t send audio from an iOS device to another iOS device or from iTunes on your Mac/PC to an iPhone/iPad.

Prevent the App Store From Closing After Downloads using StayOpened [Jailbreak Tweak]
Are you tired of the App Store closing everytime you download an app? It becomes a real pain when you need to download multiple apps, right? Well now you can prevent it from closing with a new Cydia tweak called StayOpened.
Shocking! Apple Removes Jailbreak API Detection !
Apple has just completely removed Jailbreak Detection API for iOS! It has been completely disabled or removed from iOS 4.2.1, as NetworkWorld reports. This is very shocking from Apple.
An API is a programming resource that developers can make use of that their software or operating system is functioning properly and that it isn't modified. Even though jailbreaks can still get through, it gets harder and harder to find exploits because Apple keeps patching them. For some shocking reason, Apple has removed the API. This is unrelated to Apple's preventive jailbreak measures. An API only detects if the system is modified.

Cydia Expands to Make Custom Cases for Themes !
With the growing success of Cydia, it seems apparent that Cydia is going to be starting to make cases for its themes. These cases will be available for purchase in due time. The cases will match the theme of your choice.
Here's a quote from Patrick J. Dietzan, VP of Business Development:
When more information comes, we'll keep you updated. Keep your eyes peeled on the store! The idea of this sounds amazing and really bonds the user and his / her iDevice closer than before with the powers of Cydia and Winterboard. Just wondering about what the jailbreak can do more for our iOS devices ! [via ModMyi]
Here's a quote from Patrick J. Dietzan, VP of Business Development:
We are soon going to be selling skins for all major iDevices. We would like to offer users skins that match the themes being sold in Cydia. These skins will allow people to fully customize the physical exterior appearance of their device in addition to the look/feel of the graphical user interface. The skins are made of premium vinyl from 3M and fit perfectly onto all iDevices. They can also be removed at any point without issue. Users will be able to theme the physical look of their phone and regularly change it to whatever they desire. Here you can see an example of one of the design that's been submitted:

Graviboard Released ! Give your Springboard Icons Gravity Style !
In our last post, we told you that GraviBoard will bring Gravity to your iOS device, and here we go. Ever wanted to let your apps float on your springboard? Now you can with the new release of Graviboard. Graviboard is a Cydia tweak that allows your apps to float in different sets of gravity. The preset ones are Earth, Moon, and Zero Gravity. Graviboard also comes with a custom gravity so you can set the gravity to your liking.
This tweak is for users who are looking for a little bit more fun out of their springboard. To use Graviboard, just go to settings and change the toggles on target="_blank"and off. You can even set a toggle via activator.
Graviboard for now is a pretty simple jailbreak tweak. There aren't that many features yet, but I'm sure it will expand and continue to update for more features. Some of the cons of Graviboard is that you cannot keep the apps with no gravity on when you launch apps. This is also limited because you cannot apply Graviboard to folders and scroll to other pages.
To enjoy this tweak, you need a jailbroken iOS device, you can use our guide posted here to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 or use Limera1n for iOS 4.1 jailbreak. Graviboard is available in Cydia for $2.99 via BigBoss repository, believe me, it's awesome!

Gravity Comes to iPhone and iPad with GraviBoard [VIDEO]
That's awesome but it's not released yet. GraviBoard is a brand new Tweak in the works right now by conradev that will be available in Cydia soon, once activated it will make the icons lose gravity ! The developer has no word on release date yet and they says that it is still a little buggy and is getting worked on. Below is a video of it in action.
This tweak will be really awesome and I will be one of the first users who get this tweak. If you really had a jailbroken iOS device, this would be such an awesome prank! More updates as they come. Stay tuned ! [via 9to5mac]
UPDATE 1: The tweak is now available in Cydia and can be purchased for $2.99 from Cydia Store. Check our review for this awesome app here.
