Yahoo Messenger 2.0.1 Allows Video Calling from iPod Touch 4G to PC / Mac

Yahoo Messenger App 2.0 was already available for iPhone 4 as it was already been discussed here. Using the iPhone 4, we can make video calls over 3G to a PC or Mac and vise versa using this app. Now Yahoo Messenger App gets an updated to enable video calling on iPod touch 4G too.
What's New in Version 2.0.1
- Enabled video calling on iPod touch (4th generation).
- Bug fixes.
This new version had fixed some previous bugs and enabled iPod touch 4G to video call to a PC or Mac. The main feature it has that it can make video and voice calls over 3G network. Some other features like that you can make low cost voice calls on landline numbers, send free messages through Messenger. To thave the best experience from this app, it's recommended to use Wifi.

Yahoo Messenger 2.0 for iPhone Hits the App Store with Video Calling Over 3G

As we reported that Yahoo Messenger for iPhone will support video calling to PC, here it happens. Yahoo Messenger for iPhone has received a major update and it's not a normal update. This update brings a very special gift — enables video and voice calling over 3G, and not just phone to phone, but phone to computer and vice versa.
Furthermore, the new update brings free voice calls to other Yahoo Messenger friends, supports background multitasking, and more. But it doesn't support video calling (FaceTime) using iPod touch 4G.

Yahoo! Messenger App For iPhone to Offer Video Chat to PC

Couple of days ago, we informed you about iMovicha app to enable FaceTime calls from iPhone to PC or Mac and vise versa. Today, an interesting report from Reuters claiming that Yahoo is planning to offer a free mobile app version of Yahoo Messenger with built in video calling capabilities for both the iPhone and Android.
The free app, will be available for both iPhone and Android phones and will allow smartphone users to not only conduct video calls with each other, but with anyone that currently uses Yahoo Messenger for video calls on their PCs, Katz said (Messenger has 81 million users worldwide, according to Yahoo).

And unlike FaceTime, Yahoo’s mobile Messenger video calling app will work not only over a WiFi connection, but over a carrier’s standard wireless network.
Apple was asked for a comment, Apple said in a statement: “We do allow apps on the App Store that support video calling on WiFi and 3G networks.” but the app is not approved yet. We are waiting for an approval and will inform you soon.

Bing is now Powering Yahoo! Search in US and Canada

Last week, Bing reported that they were Testing Bing search results on Yahoo! Today, Yahoo! finalized transition to Bing. When searching with Yahoo! in the United States and Canada (English) you will see a “powered by Bing” at the bottom of the search results and will appear on all web, image and video searches on both desktop and mobile devices.
That was announced in a new blog post from Yahoo Search blog with title "Yahoo! Transitions Organic Search Back-End to Microsoft Platform" by Shashi Seth, Senior Vice President of Yahoo! Search Products. Also Bing announced that it is powering Yahoo!’s search results in the US and Canada (English only for now, the other languages will come in the weeks and months ahead)
